Welcome to the Horse and Jockey – a traditional Birstall local entertainment pub.

A country-style pub first licensed in the 1750s, which lies west of the village centre. The open-plan bar is divided into four areas has half-panelled walls and beamed ceilings.  Darts, dominoes and pool are played (Wednesday free pool all day), and we have a music & knowledge quiz, karaoke and DJ. Outside is a patio and stage with a flower display which has won the Birstall in Bloom award for several years. Last admission 11pm.
